Want to take an alphabet safari? That's just one activity out of the seven available in a game where you travel with Blue and her friends. Blue's ABC Time Activities boasts all types of early reading necessities: phonics, vocabulary, rhyming, letter recognition, and consonant blends included.
Through this program, kids can help Blue create a wordbook and tell stories, solve alphabet mazes with Shovel and Pail, sound out snacks with Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper, and--our favorite--begin an Animal Alphabet Photo Album. Each game starts simply, and the difficulty level progresses automatically, with words becoming more complex and fewer visual tips given. When the game is saved and restarted, you'll begin at the level of difficulty you last experienced. Several activities can be printed out and used like worksheets--great for traveling or posting as fridge art.

But as Blue, the dog, accompanies your youngster through this backyard carnival, visiting snack booths, pattern parades, and souvenir stands, she (and her inimitable squeak) turns the dread phrase into a series of enjoyable activities.
The seven activities in Blue's 123 Time Activities are all designed to encourage counting, pattern recognition, and deduction. In fact, since successful completion of each activity pays off in Blue Dollars to spend in the Prize Tent, parents who frown on gambling may raise an eyebrow at the little felt bear dealing a deck. But there's nothing like a good game of cards for fostering pattern recognition and counting skills!
Fear not, Blue won't lead your preschooler down a path of vice. Everyone here is benign, encouraging, and comfortably two-dimensional, just like the television show.
